How story replies work
- When someone replies to your story or mentions you in theirs, Instagram delivers it to the bot as a normal DM - the funnel opens automatically.
- If you write a message below, story people get this text as their first reply instead of the standard one - so "thanks for the story love" instead of a cold opener.
- Everything after that is identical: Yes/No buttons, link message, follow-ups.
- Leave it empty and story replies simply use the normal first reply.
5Follow-ups
How follow-ups work
- After someone gets your link, the bot can chase them automatically with up to 3 reminder DMs - no work from you.
- Each reminder fires a set number of hours after the link went out (not after the previous reminder).
- Skip if clicked leaves people alone once they've opened your link - only the ones who ghosted get chased.
- Instagram closes the DM window 24 hours after the person's last message, so reminders can be 1-23 hours out.
- Leave a reminder's text empty to turn it off.

Your clip and model photos are handed to the engine through a private 6-hour link and deleted when the job ends. Every engine bills its own account; models that work from a prompt get the clip described first (four small frames).

Click the timeline to jump, arrow keys step one frame, Space plays. Each pick becomes a full-quality JPEG straight from the decoded video, long edge capped at 1920, with no metadata - clean to post as a photo. Up to 60 picks.
Generates the in-between frames from motion vectors (ffmpeg minterpolate). Several times slower than a plain upscale, best on slow, steady footage; fast cuts or hands crossing the frame can smear for a frame or two. A clip already at or above the target is left alone.
Lanczos resample with denoise and sharpening. It does not invent detail the file never had - it cleans a soft or blocky export up to the size the platform actually serves. Instagram and TikTok re-encode everything to 1080p, so more than that only gives them more to throw away. A file already at the target keeps its size and just gets denoised and sharpened.
Re-encodes with invisible colour and grain jitter, so the file is unique to byte and frame matching. Slower, and it won't beat a perceptual match - use Spoof for that.
For Nano Banana, Gemini, Veo, Midjourney or ChatGPT output. Drops the C2PA manifest and the IPTC "made with AI" mark a platform reads before it looks at the picture, re-encodes from raw pixels and cuts 8% off the bottom-right where Gemini stamps its sparkle. The invisible SynthID watermark lives in the pixels themselves - the re-encode and crop weaken it, but no public tool can read it, so nobody can promise it is gone.
Stamps a chosen GPS coordinate into the file - jittered slightly per variant in Spoof, exact in Upscale. Videos get a location atom, images an EXIF GPS block. Left off, Upscale keeps whatever location the file already carries - a spoofed clip stays where you put it.
Right now, mirroring is the single change that most reliably gets past the reused-content check - turn it on for every repost unless the clip has readable text.
For AI-generated files. Every variant already loses the C2PA manifest and generator credits in the re-encode; this pins the crop to at least 8% anchored top-left, so the bottom-right corner - where Gemini and Veo stamp their sparkle - is what gets cut. Pixel watermarks like SynthID are degraded, not provably removed.
Shifts the audio so a fingerprint stops recognising it, keeping length in sync with the video. Beats an audio match on the original track or voice; for a guaranteed break, mute and add your own trending audio in the app after download.

How to set it up

Buy a domain
Easiest way: search for one in Your domain above and buy it through LinkDrop - we register it, point it at your page and renew it yearly, with nothing for you to configure. Prefer to own it elsewhere? Any registrar works too.
Any registrar works - Cloudflare, Namecheap and Porkbun are the cheapest, around €8-12 a year. Pick something short and personal, like
yourname.com. You don't need hosting, email, or any add-on they try to sell you - just the domain.

Add one DNS record at your registrar
In your registrar's dashboard find DNS (sometimes "DNS records", "Advanced DNS" or "Manage DNS"). Add both records shown above, copying Type, Name and the value exactly - use the copy button for the long one. Save.
On Cloudflare: set the proxy toggle to DNS only (grey cloud, not orange). An orange cloud stops the certificate from being issued.

Common questions
Do I lose my linkdrop.uk link?
No. Both work at the same time, forever. Anything you already posted keeps going to the right place.
Do I have to pay for an SSL certificate?
No. HTTPS is issued and renewed automatically at no cost, the moment your DNS record goes live.
Is my own domain really safer?
It's a real upgrade, not a magic shield. An address that belongs only to you is a cleaner, more trustworthy home for your links. What you post and how you share it still matters just as much.
Can I change to a different domain later?
Yes. Disconnect the current one here, then add the new domain and its records. Update the link in your bios afterwards - the old domain stops pointing here once you disconnect it.
Can each of my link pages have its own domain?
Yes. Switch to that page in the sidebar first, then set its domain here. One domain per page.
